Replicating the popular designs of the Stockbridge and Chevalier Optiflame stoves, the Dimplex Meribel is finished in gloss white and uses Opti-myst flame and smoke technology to produce a 3D flame effect. The Meribel (BRG20), which was named Best Electric Appliance in the Hearth & Home Awards has opening doors, thermostatic control and a choice of 1kW or 2kW fan heat settings. This Meribel can be situated in an old fire place or it can be placed against a wall all it needs a 13amp plug socket.  The Opti-Myst Flame and Smoke effect is produced by vaporising water that is stored in a hidden water reservoir
